Paying glowing tributes to MQM chairman Azeem Ahmed Tariq and other Haq Parasts for sacrificing their lives, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that their blood would not go in vain as the day was not far away for the Haq Parast movement from reaching to its destination.
In a statement issued on the 20th death anniversary of MQM’s former chairman Azeem Ahmed Tariq, Mr Hussain said that the brutal murder of late Tariq was a part of the smear conspiracy to wipe out the MQM and the same conspiracy was still continuing today.
He said that that the act of not apprehending killers of Azeem Ahmed Tariq and other Haq Parasts even after a lapse of 20 years was a prove of the fact that the conspiracy not only existed today but it had been intensified to a great extent.
Attributing the success of MQM mission to the sacrifices of its office-bearers and workers, Mr Hussain said that the Haq Parasts preferred to spill their blood for the movement’s ideology, instead of selling their conscience.
He said that sacrifices of Muttahida’s martyrs would not be forgotten because those nations which forget their martyrs never succeeded.
The MQM chief said that message of the party, despite all kinds of oppression and suppression against its workers, had now been spread in every nook and cranny of the country and, hence the sacrifices laid down by martyrs would not go in vain.
Later, Mr Hussain prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls of Azeem Ahmed Tariq and other martyrs in eternal peace.
