MQM striving for labourers rights: Altaf Hussain

Terming labour class  as the as the backbone of a society, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that no society could progress and proper without their participation.
In his special message issued on the eve of May Day, he said that the status which the labourers were enjoying across the world today was the fruit of the sacrifices of lives given by the labourers of Chicago during their just and practical struggle for the rights of labourers.
Deploring that labourers in Pakistan were deprived of their genuine rights owing to obsolete feudalism and landlord system, he said that it was because of their policies that the labourers in the country were not only passing through economic crisis but leading a miserable life, besides their sense of deprivation was continuously increasing.
Reiterating that the labourers’ problems could be resolved only by bringing an end to the prevailing obsolete feudalism and landlord system from the country, Mr Hussain said that MQM was the only party in the country which had raised the voice for rights of labourer’s class across the country by providing them a platform of Labour Division.
He said that time has come when labourers should come forward and wage a struggle for achieving their just rights by bringing an end to the prevailing obsolete system as the revolutions were not brought about by rich people but were nurtured with the joint struggle of poor and labourers.
Advocating the need for bringing an end to corruption from institutions, he said that time has come to throw out corrupt elements after bringing an end to the menace of corruption from institutions while measures should be taken for bringing an end to the excesses and injustices being meted out to labourers in different departments.
Addressing the office-bearers and workers of MQM Labour division, Mr Hussain exhorted them to continue their struggle for the rights of labourers rights by remembering that labourers could achieve their just rights only through a sincere and practical struggle.
