Altaf Hussain condemns the killings of two MQM workers in Hyderabad and another in Karachi
 Posted on: 4/30/2013

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killings of two MQM workers Nadeem Ajmeri and Manzoor Ahmed in Hyderabad and another worker Aftab Alam in Surjani town area of Karachi at the hands of armed terrorists. Earlier in April an MQM election candidate Fakhr-Ul-Islam,  was also gunned down in Hyderabad in the same manner.
Mr Hussain said that the entire Pakistan should see as to how the MQM workers were being targeted and killed and how attempts were being made to keep the MQM out of the electoral process by carrying out bomb attacks at its election offices. Several innocent workers and sympathizers of the MQM became the victim of bomb attacks and incidents of targeted killings during last two weeks alone.
Mr Hussain declared that liberal, progressive and moderate political parties were being made victims of terrorism in order to keep them out of the electoral process. He regretted that neither the caretaker government and the election commission, nor police, rangers and other law-enforcing agencies were doing anything to stem the tide of terrorism.
Mr Hussain also expressed his sorrow over the fact that other political parties were not only maintaining a criminal silence on the blatant terrorism and spilling of blood of innocent people, but they were also supporting this bloody game one way or another.
Mr Hussain appealed to the people of Pakistan, having pain for humanity, and all political parties to raise their voice against the continuing terrorism and injustice.
Mr Hussain demanded of President Asif Zardari, caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, caretaker Interior Minister Malik Habib, and the Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim to bring the cruel killers swiftly to justice. He called for steps on war footing to curb terrorism.
Mr Hussain expresses his sympathies to the grieving families of Nadeem Ajmeri, Manzoor Ahmed and Aftab Ahmed and said that their grief was felt by everyone in the MQM. He prayed Almighty Allah to shower His blessings on the souls of the martyred workers.
