MQM Co-ordination Committee expresses concerns on the silence of intellectuals

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has expressed its concerns on the strange silence of a majority of intellectuals and writers on the continuing wave of terrorism in the country, particularly on the brutal killings of the MQM leaders, workers and sympathizers. It said that these intellectuals maintaining complete silence on the killing of the MQM workers waxed eloquence whenever there was a fabricated and malicious report against the MQM in the media but they were not saying anything on the killings of innocent people.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the Taliban had accepted the responsibility of killing of the MQM leaders, office-bearers and sympathizers and even the international media had expressed its concerns. It said that the intellectuals and writers should not taint their analyses by prejudice. They should speak the truth as the duplicitous approach would be harmful for the country.
