Vehicle of Kanwer Naveed Jamil attacked by JI workers near Aisha Manzil

MQM Co-ordination Committee has strongly condemned the attack on the car of MQM candidate for NA-246 Kanwer Naveed Jamil and MQM workers near Aisha Manzil by workers of Jamat-i-Islami.
It said that Mr Jamil was going to address a corner meeting near Dehli School in Karimabad when the participants of a rally organized by JI near Aisha Manzil turned unruly and attacked his vehicle and vandalized its glasses.
The JI workers pelted stones at MQM workers and sympathizers and resorted to provocative sloganeering.
The Co-ordination Committee said that a conspiracy was being hatched to undermine the by-election for NA-246.
The MQM is running its election campaign in a peaceful manner under the guidelines given by its leader Altaf Hussain.
The Co-ordination Committee urged on the JI leaders to restrain their workers from provoking other parties. It asked them to play their role making by-election process peaceful.
The Co-ordination Committee also appealed to people to remain peaceful under all conditions and not get provoked.
It demanded the government, police and administration to ensure law and order during the election campaign.
