CM Punjab calls Altaf Hussain

Chief Minister Punjab and leader of PML-N Shahbaz Sharif called Mr. Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement, on Monday evening and discussed the current political situation of the country.
The statement issued from London Secretariat, said that both the leaders had talks in a pleasant environment. They asked each others’ health and expressed reciprocities. The Chief Minister also delivered the greetings of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his behalf and expressed goodwill gesture to him from the PM.
Mr. Shahbaz Sharif discussed to enhance the mutual understanding between MQM and PML-N, and sought the feasibility of cooperation between the two parties in the elections of Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate. He said that it was time to proceed forward and should forget all the bitterness of past.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hussain said that the political and theoretical differences were the parts of democratic process but it should not turn out to be an enmity between the two rivals. He said that past should be forgotten to proceed in the life and everyone should respect each other.
He said that people should respect the mandates of other parties despite all the differences. He also discussed the ongoing army-operation Zarb-e-Azb and prayed for its success. He said that the entire nation was with the country’s army and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the soldiers.
The CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif totally agreed with Mr. Hussain’s stance to forget the past and initiate better relation between the two parties. He said that they had to recognize each other mandates and also expressed wish to come to London to meet Mr. Altaf Hussain.
