MQM condemns Ghulam Thebo’s designed interview

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement said that 35 MQM workers were murdered in extra-judicially by plain clothes security personnel while dozens of workers were disappeared and their family members were not informed regarding their arrests.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee strongly condemned Additional IG Sindh Ghulam Qadir Thebo’s designed interview to the international news agency regarding MQM workers’ extra-judicial killings. It said that the police murdered MQM Malir Sector worker Syed Faraz Alam in custody for not giving bribe for his release.
The Committee said that the allegation posted on MQM by Additional IG Sindh was an attempt to conceal the police’s crime. It said that Karachi Police arrest Urdu speaking people from various parts of the city and tortured them.
The Coordination Committee said that various TV channels had already exposed police torture-chambers in the city and their victims also. It said that police demanded huge amount in bribery to release those innocent people or threatened to murder them.
