Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee Member, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, said here on Thursday that Haq Parast representatives on the directives of MQM chief Altaf Hussain were leaving no stone unturned in serving the ailing humanity.
He was speaking at a largely attended ceremony held at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in connection with installation of a latest MRI machine and five modern lifts. It was largely attended, among others, by doctors, paramedical staff, Haq Parast MNA, Dr Nadim Ahsan, MPA Rehan Zafar, Administrator Karachi Hashim Raza Zaidi, MQM Medical Aid Committee’s In-charge and members.
Dr Sagheer on this occasion informed the gathering that the project of installing modern MRI machine and five lifts at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital had been accomplished at a cost of Rs160 million and a credit for this project goes to all those associated with the hospital.
Mentioning about Altaf Hussain’s attachment with the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Dr Ahmed said that the former had always strived for providing modern health facilities at the hospital so that people could get better treatment facilities at low cost.
He said that it was on the directives of MQM chief that all Haq Parast had accorded priority to serve the ailing humanity without any discrimination.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nadim Ahsan said that Abbasi Shaheed hospital is considered as one of the best hospital in the country, in general and Sindh, in particular. It is the only hospital of the country which comes under the umbrella of local government institution and with which Karachi Medical and Dental College is attached.
The ceremony was also addressed by MPA Rehan Zafar and Administrator Karachi Hashim Raza Zaidi.
