Prayer meetings held at MQM offices for offering fateha and recitation of Holy Quran
46th death anniversary of late Nazeer Hussain, father of the founder and leader of the MQM Mr Altaf Hussain, was observed today with reverence. Gatherings were held for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran. The main gathering in this connection was held in the Lal Qila Ground in Azizabad.
Deputy Conveners of the Co-ordination Committee Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Dr Nusrat Shaukat, and members of the committee Kunwar Khalid Yunus, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Shahid Latif, Jawed Kazmi, Naik Muhammad, Kaiful Wara, Saif Yar Khan, Saleem Tajik, Mumtaz Anwar, Yousuf Shahwani, Gulfaraz Khan Khattak, Irshad Kamali, MQM leader Amir Khan, MNAs, MPAs, Senators and office-bearers various wings of the MQM were present on the occasion. Saira Khatoon, sister of Mr Hussain, was also present.
Noted religious scholar Dr Jamil Rathore offered prayers for late Nazeer Hussain and all martyrs of the MQM. Prayers were also offered for the success of the MQM and long life and good health of Mr Hussain.
Similar prayer gatherings were held at the MQM offices in Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
