Extra-judicial killings: Altaf Hussain criticizes Sindh government
 Posted on: 1/11/2015
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that he relied on Allah over the martyrdom of his party workers to do justice and said that MQM would go for the legal option to receive justice and arrest of the criminals.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that the religious extremism and sectarianism turned out to be a cancer in the society. He said that to fight against that cancer was not the only responsibility of the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif but everyone had to play his role along with Pak-Army to eliminate the tumor from the country.
Mr. Hussain said that the law enforcement agencies’ personnel murdered MQM workers in extra-judicial killings in the government’s torture cells. He said while, in the other hand, the banned-outfits kept murdering Shias and others in targeted-killings.
He expressed his deep condolence to the bereaved families and urged them to show patience because Allah will not let the dark prevail long. He said that everyone knew that the provincial government did not act appropriately to arrest the criminals and terrorists.
Mr. Hussain strongly criticized the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for not getting out of CM’s House to consol the throbbing souls. He said that the government did not seem serious to arrest the police personnel involved in extra-judicial killings of his workers. MQM decided to extend the day of mourning up to Monday after government’s passive reaction.
Meanwhile the representatives of traders, industries, schools, and other walks of life requested MQM to postpone the shutter down call. MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain directed the Coordination Committee of Pakistan and London to postpone the call and organize Youm-e-Sog for the martyrs.
Mr. Hussain also addressed to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Federal Cabinet, political leadership, Chief of Army Staff and DG ISI Let-Gen Rizwan Akhtar and said that for the last several days, he kept pointing out the presence of the terrorist organization ISIS in Pakistan and now the world media started publishing the reports regarding it.
He said that unfortunately people of Lal Masjid and female students of Jamia Hafsa – an Islamic seminary in Islamabad – distributed ISIS literature to spread sectarianism and religious hatred. He said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ordered to demolish Masjid-e-Zarar, which was the hub of conspiracy against the Muslims at that time.
Mr. Hussain said that the government failed to provide protection and security to people, especially Karachiites. He said that there was a need to probe for sending MQM worker Syed Faraz Alam on remand again, which caused his unfortunate death.
He said that he prayed for Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to become the General like Kamal Ata Turk. He said to rely on the government to maintain peace in the country was frivolous. He demanded to recruit locals in police departments to minimize corruption.
MQM Chief thanked to the traders, transporters and the people for supporting MQM call for shutter down. He also appreciated people, MQM office-bearers and workers for organizing protest demonstrations in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Sindh and Balochistan.
