Resignations of MQM ministers and advisors should be accepted without delay: MQM Co-ordination Committee

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has said that resignations of MQM ministers and advisors should be accepted immediately. It also called for the issuance of notification of the MQM’s Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly. It said that the MQM had come out of the government and announced the decision to sit on the opposition benches. All of the federal and provincial ministers and advisors of the MQM had already tendered their resignations and applications had been submitted for the allotment of opposition benches.

The Co-ordination Committee demanded that the resignations should be accepted without any delay and opposition benches should be allotted to the MQM in the National Assembly, the Senate and the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. It said that the MQM had been raising its voice against undemocratic actions and it would continue to play an active role from the opposition benches by speaking about public issues.
