The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain on Wednesday urged the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that prior to implementing the execution decision on the political prisoners, should execute all the Taliban terrorists, who involved in the killings of innocent people.
Talking to the gathering on the occasion of observing the ‘Day of Mourning’ for the victims of Army Public School massacre, MQM Chief said that any cosmetic surgery could cause more harm to the nation and needed to devise a genuine strategy to coup the Taliban brute. He said that the APC should be called to resolve the issues and not just an artificial show off of the political tactics.
Mr. Hussain said that in the first era of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, an operation was started against MQM and number of MQM workers and supporters were murdered in the extra-judicial killings. He accused the Prime Minister that he was equally responsible for those extra-judicial killings of MQM’s thousands of workers.
He said that after lifting the ban on the execution by the federal government, it must be assured that not a single execution would be done wrongly. He warned that the federal government to ensure the execution should be on merit and no political retaliation or revenge would be achieved by the implementation of the execution.
Mr. Hussain demanded the government to execute all the Taliban and other terrorists, who involved in the attacks on mosques, Imam Bargah, churches, markets, schools and national assets. He said that the political prisoners in execution cells, who had already spent 15 to 25 years, should be released or converted their death sentences into sentences for life.
He further said that the population of 200 million people could not be controlled and managed by mere four chief ministers. He said that the few thousands police personnel could not maintain peace among millions of people, especially 110 million people of Punjab and 50 million people of Sindh.
MQM Chief demanded the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to recruit locals in the police force and immediately promote Karachi Medical and Dental College to university. He said that like the other political leaderships, Chief Minister Sindh also made fun of him for raising voice against the Taliban terrorists.
He said that the Taliban still captured various areas of Karachi, where police or Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) could not enter. Talking to the people of Defence, Clifton, Bahadurabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Society, he said to arrange neighbourhood watch system in their areas to protect themselves like people of Europe and England did the same.
Mr. Hussain said that he had dissolved MQM Coordination Committee and KTC and started reforming the party setup to remove the selfish elements. He said that after rehauling the Coordination Committee and KTC, he would reshuffle the office-bearers of all MQM wings and departments.
He said that the number of people took asylum in the name of MQM and settled with their families outside the country. He said that a day would soon come, when MQM would definitely have authority to deal those profiteers and selfish people according to the law and they would reach their logical end.
