Army School attack: Altaf Hussain demands roundtable to devise strategy against terrorism

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the terrorists’ attack on Army Public School in Peshawar, and which left killings and injuries of hundreds of innocent children.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to call an immediate All Parties Conference (APC) or Roundtable on the most tragic incident of the country. He said that there needed to devise a collective measure against those monsters.
Mr. Hussain termed the attack on Army Public School as a national tragedy and said that it was government’s responsibility to take care the lives and properties of the masses. However, other political parties were also responsible to control the terrorism, which had their representations, especially in urban and rural areas.
He said that according to the details, the terrorists exploded their van in front of the school gate prior to the spree of killings. He indicated the possible conspiracy as the terrorists chose 16th December, the day when Pakistan was divided into apart in 1971.
Mr. Hussain said that a high-level probe was needed to reach the in-depth conspiracy of the incident. He said that such conspiracy must be unfolded before the nation and appropriate measures should be taken to protect the masses’ lives and properties. He said that he wondered how the Army Public School did not have adequate security arrangements to protect its students.
He demanded the Prime Minister and other political parties to abandon their political differences and should be united on the national cause and the entire nation must retaliate with an iron fist to the terrorists. He suggested that the political parties should strengthen country’s army in the war against terror.
Mr. Hussain said Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif is brave soldier and takes appropriate measures to handle the terror monsters. He also appreciated all the participant soldiers who took part in the rescue operation at Army Public School.
MQM Chief finally expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the tragic incident and prayed Almighty Allah to confer patience to the bereaved families. He also prayed for complete and early recovery of the injured.
