MQM now exist in every district of Punjab: Dr Farooq Sattar

MQM now exist in every district of Punjab: Dr Farooq Sattar

There is not  a single district or Tehsil in Punjab where Muttahida Qaumi Movement's orgnisational structure did not exist, MQM Coordination Committee's deputy convenor Dr Farooq Sattar said here on Sunday at a large congregation organisised in connection with the party's South Punjab chapter's re-organisation.
"As a mattar of fact, law an order situation in Karachi was deliberately being spoiled merely to confine MQM to the city," he deplored.
On this occasion, the Dr Farooq Sattar also announced the names of office-bearers of MQM's South Punjab Committee and they included Shamshad Jafferi as president, Rana Abu Bakar and Rai Khalid (senior vice presidents), Jawaid Cheema, Imran Gadi and Furqan Mughal (vice presidents), Idrees Jami (secretary-general), Ali Imran Suhrwardi and Maj  (Retd) Javaid Hussain and Rao Tasleem (joint secretaries), Rao Khalid (secretary information), Qasim Rizvi (finance secretary) and Nadeem Mirza (office secretary) while members included Ms Farkhunda, Rehmatullah Waraich, Sikandar Gopang, Zahid Bokhari, Jawaid Akhtar and Rashid Hashmi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Farooq Sattar said that the feudal system and the heriditory politics were the major hindrance in the country's progress and prosperity and as long as we got rid of such obsolete system the country could not achieve real revolution.
The MQM leader said that the MQM always wanted to bring an end to corrupt political culture and status quo from the country and whenever it tried to extend its struggle across the country, all those elements in the establishment having nexus with the currupt feudals and landlords and who did not want an end to currupt feudal political culture always tried to create obstacles in the MQM way by inciting riots sometimes between Pakhtun and Mohajir, between Sindhi and Mohajir, between Punjabi and Mohajir and Baloch and Mohajir.
He said that although such elements through their conspiracies are out to unleash bloodbath in Karachi, it was because of truthfulness of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain's philosophy that the party could not be crushed, instead its message has now reached in every nook and corner of the country, including that of tribal areas.
Later, speaking to newsmen, Dr Farooq Sattar said that now there is not a single district or Tehsil in Punjab where MQM did not exist.
In this regard, he annouced that under the MQM new organisational structure, the center of Upper Punjab would now be Islamabad, Cenral Punjab's centre would be Lahore while that of South Punjab it would be Multan and, as such, every part of Punjab will have its own president, vice president, general secretary and other office-bearers, besides having their own committees.
He said that since people having positive thinking have been joining MQM in a large number, the party would, Inshallah, would give surprising results  in the forthcoming general elections.
