Killings of religious scholars and innocent people is an evil conspiracy to destroy peace and order in Karachi
The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has condemned the killings of Mufti Muhammad Saleh and Mufti Abdul Majeed of Jamia Farooqia and several other innocent citizens in Karachi and termed it an evil conspiracy to destroy peace. It said that the terrorists were killing religious scholars, targeting the business community, and murdering workers of political and religious parties for creating instability in the city.
The Co-ordination Committee said that elements sponsoring terrorists were working against the stability of the country and its open enemies. Condemning the murders of Mufti Muhammad Saleh, Mufti Abdul Majeed and several other people, the committee extended sympathies to the grieving relatives.
The Co-ordination Committee demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the killings of the religious scholars by the firing of armed terrorists. The committee said that the brutal killers should be brought to justice for restoring peace in Karachi.
