Prayers were offered for the blessings of the soul of late Manzar Imam
A gathering was held in the International Secretariat of the MQM in London to pay homage to the martyred MQM MPA Manzar Imam, his driver and two security guards. Recitation of the Holy Quran was offered by members of the Co-ordination Committee in London, office-bearers of UK units and workers. Shumaila Imran, widow of Dr Imran Farooq, and her son were also present on the occasion.
Member of the Co-ordination Committee and In-charge of the International Secretariat of the MQM Mustafa Azizabadi shed light on the services of late Manzar Imam and said that the MQM has lost a senior and hardworking worker with the martyrdom of Manzar Imam.
He said that Manzar Imam always busied himself in public welfare works despite receiving threats from terrorists. He said that earlier another MQM MPA Raza Haider was gunned down. “We are being targeted for raising our voice against Talibanization and for making efforts for promoting religious harmony. But our determination cannot be broken and our struggle would continue.”
Fateha was offered after the recitation of the Holy Quran. Prayers were made to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace. Prayers were also offered for the divine forgiveness of the soul of the mother of former MPA Shakir Ali and for the good health and well-being of prominent orthopedic surgeon Dr Muhammad Ali Shah and provincial minister Shoaib Bukhari.
