Altaf Hussain’s condolence on the death of prominent progressive writer Sobho Gyan Chandani

MQM leader Altaf Hussain has offered his grief and sorrow on the passing away of prominent intellectual and leading progressive writer Sobho Gyan Chandani. In a statement Mr Hussain said that late Gyan Chandani spend his entire life struggling for the rights of the oppressed and disadvantaged people. He worked relentlessly for promoting literature and removing social unevenness and discriminations. He had to go to jail several times for his struggle.
Mr Hussain said that with the death of Sobho Gyan Chandani, an important chapter of the progressive writers’ movement has ended. He extended sympathies to the family members.
