The Soyem of the martyred MQM MPA Manzar Imam, his driver and two security guards was held at all the offices of the MQM throughout the country. The main gathering for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran was held in Lal Qila Ground Azizabad in the close vicinity of the MQM Headquarters Nine Zero.
Deputy Conveners of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar, Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, Senator Nasreen Jalil, Dr Nusrat Shoukat, other members of the committee, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, delegations of different political parties, office-bearers of various wings and sectors of the MQM and a large number of MQM workers attended the Soyem gathering held in the Lal Qila Ground.
After the recitations of the Holy Quran, Maulana Tanvirul Haque Thanvi offered prayers for the martyrs. Special prayers were offered for the good health and long life of Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM.
Similar gathering were held in Interior Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan at the local zonal offices of the MQM.
