MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the death of the younger brother of associate member of the Co-ordination Committee Ghazi Salahuddin in an incident of targeted killing. He said that Ziauddin did not take part in politics. He offered his heartfelt condolences to Ghazi Salahuddin on the unfortunate incident.
“The target killing of Ziauddin is an attempt to intimidate Ghazi Salahuddin and other Sindhi-speaking intellectuals, writers, columnists, and MQM workers who are trying to fuse brotherhood among the permanent inhabitants of Sindh.”
Mr Hussain said that the elements who wanted to burn the fire of hatred in Sindh were behind the brutal killing of Ziauddin.
He said, “Political workers and life and property of people were not safe in the PPP government. Killings, terrorism and incidents of violence have become commonplace but the Sindh Government was doing nothing to control the situation. Innocent people are falling victim of terrorism on daily basis.”
Mr Hussain demanded inquiry into the targeted killing of the brother of Ghazi Salahuddin and immediate arrest of the killers.
Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul.
