MQM has lost a senior and ideological worker with the martyrdom of Manzar Imam
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that if the Taliban terrorists, who have assassinated Manzar Imam, believe that they can break our resolve. However, they are mistaken. “We will not be discouraged by terrorism and the voice of the MQM cannot be suppressed by such cowardly incidents.” He said this while talking to the Co-ordination Committee after the tragic death of MPA Manzar Imam by the firing of armed terrorists.
Expressing his grief and sorrow on the killing of MPA Manzar Imam and his guards Mr Hussain said, “The MQM has lost a senior and ideological worker and I am sorely grieved on the death of Manzar Imam. The blood of Manzar Imam would not go in vain as the blood of the martyrs is the seed of revolution.”
He said that Manzar Imam was a thorough gentleman and had an amiable personality. He was kind and humble and always busied himself in serving the people of his constituency.
He asked the people to form vigilance committees and keep an eye on suspicious persons in their area. He asked them to report to the nearest police station in case they observe suspicious activity.
He asked the people to get united for fighting terrorism by setting aside all differences. He asked them to mourn the death of MPA Manzar Imam by closing their businesses and wearing black arm bands.
He further said that all organizational activities of the MQM should be suspended and gatherings should be held for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran for the martyred.
He extended sympathies to the grieving family members and said that their grief was equally shared by all workers of the MQM.
Mr Hussain demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and federal and provincial governments to bring the killers of MPA Manzar Imam to justice.
He thanked the leaders of all political and religious parties who expressed condolences on the martyrdom of Manzar Imam.
