If power is given in the hands of people like Malik Riaz then problems of the country will be end: Altaf Hussain

Would that the noble work of establishing a university in Hyderabad had been done by Chief Minister Sindh and the Sindh Government
MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain has said that Allah has sent the head of Bahria Town Malik Riaz as an angel of mercy. He termed Mr Riaz a true son of Pakistan and added that if power were given in the hands of people like Mr Riaz, all the problems of the country would be resolved and the country would make progress by leaps and bounds. He said this while speaking on the occasion of announcement of establishing a university in Hyderabad and Karachi by Mr Riaz at Nine Zero.
Rose petals were showered on Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and Mr Riaz when they arrived at Nine Zero. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Amir Khan, Syed Aminul Haque, and other office-bearers received Governor Sindh and Mr Riaz at Nine Zero.
“Would that Chief Minister Sindh and Government of Sindh had done the noble work of establishing a university in Hyderabad.”
He said some chauvinist and prejudiced ministers went so far as saying that no university would be built in Hyderabad but “I had said that I would announce about making a university in Hyderabad if no one else did it.”
Praising Mr Riaz, he said, “If there were a provision in the Constitution to make anyone belonging to any province of Pakistan Chief Minister of Sindh, I would have requested the Prime Minister to make Mr Riaz the Chief Minister of Sindh as it would help in eradicating the feudal mindset in the province.”
Mr Hussain thanked Mr Riaz for announcing to build universities in Karachi and Hyderabad. “Establishing a university was the foremost desire of the people of Hyderabad for the past 66 years. I had told the people of Hyderabad that I will myself build a university in Hyderabad by collecting every single penny. Allah granted my prayer and sent Mr Riaz as an angel of mercy.”
He also thanked former President Asif Zardari for giving his consent for building universities in Karachi and Hyderabad.
Mr Hussain said, “Urdu-speaking people had 40 per cent share in the resources of Sindh but no Urdu-speaking person has so far been made the Chief Minister of Sindh.”
Speaking about the quota system Mr Hussain said, “Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had introduced the quota system in the Sindh province only for a period of 10 years but this has not been lifted so far. Feudal lords who oppose the ending of the quota system do not allow schools and colleges in their areas in order to keep the children of farmers and peasant illiterate. They make houses in the rich localities of Defence and Clifton in Karachi and send their children to expensive schools. These feudal lords are against the Urdu-speaking as well as the Sindhi-speaking.”
Addressing the people of Interior Sindh Mr Hussain said, “If they bring MQM in power for once, the MQM would spread education across the nook and corner of Sindh. Better healthcare facilities will be provided to the public. Schools, colleges, hospitals and maternity homes would be made in Larkana, Khairpur, Thatta, Badin and other areas of Sindh”
Mr Hussain also praised Governor Sindh for making efforts for establishing universities in Karachi and Hyderabad. “Federal Government and the establishment may remove Dr Ibad but what he has done for the people of Karachi and Hyderabad will always be remembered.”
Addressing the government and the head of PTI Imran Khan, he said, “The government should show restraint on 30th November. Imran Khan and PTI supporters should hold peaceful sit-in and foil the conspiracy to plunge the country in violence and bloodshed.”
“Our armed forces are busy in an operation against terrorists while the Indian Army is constantly provoking hostilities at the borders.”
In the end the MQM workers gave a standing ovation to Mr Riaz for announcing to build universities in Karachi and Hyderabad.
