MQM leader Mr Altaf Hussain and head of Pakistan Ulema Council Allama Tahir Ashrafi have strongly condemned the statement of former JI head about promoting the culture of fighting in the way of Allah.
They appealed to the leading religious scholars to analyze the statement in the light of Quran, Sunnah and Sharia and inform the nation.
Both the leaders deplored that at a time when the country needed peace, tolerance and forbearance the most, Munawer Hussain was exhorting the public to violence and bloodshed.
The asked the religious scholars to take notice of the statement of Munawer Hassan.
Allama Tahir Ashrafi said that Munawer Hassan should explain his statement to the public and tell them about the people against whom he wanted to start bloodshed.
He extended sympathies to Mr Hussain on the killing of an MQM worker after its membership camp was attacked in Orangi Town. He also offered his condolences on the killing of another MQM worker in Orangi Town. He prayed for the early recovery of the injured workers.
