The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the unending sectarian killings in Karachi and termed it an evil conspiracy to fan the fire of sectarian strife. The committee said that the terrorists involved in sectarian bloodshed wanted to destabilize Pakistan by undermining peace in the city. It said that the elements killing innocent people for their nefarious objectives were open enemies of the Muslim unity.
The Co-ordination Committee extended sympathies to the grieving families who lost their loved-ones in sectarian killings in the city. It demanded President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the sectarian killings in Karachi. It urged upon them to bring the killers to justice and take solid steps for protecting the life and property of the people.
