All political forces wanting a change should get united and make efforts for eliminating corruption, treachery and deceit
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the process of change has started in the country. "Time has come for making practical efforts for changing the system and no one can stop the advent of a revolution in the country." He said this while addressing a gathering of the Co-ordination Committee and office-bearers of various wings at Nine Zero.
Mr Hussain said, "I have been making relentless struggle against archaic feudal system, elimination of hereditary political culture, implementation of a merit based system, introduction of a uniform education system, and sectarian and religious harmony for the past 35 years. The outmoded feudal system has wrought havoc with the political and economic systems of the country."
"Unemployment is common, there is shortage of energy resources in the country and extortion has become rampant. Poor people have been hit hard and their circumstances can be judged from the fact that they are committing suicide because of oppressive poverty."
"The country is in the grip of religious extremism and terrorism. The country needs a real change and the time calls for making serious efforts for ushering the change in the country."
"The elements trying to suppress the voice of change are resorting to criticism for the sake of mere criticism. But the people of have come aware and they cannot be stopped from making struggle for bringing a change in the country."
"The time has come when the thrones would be pulled down and crowns would be turned over. Time has come when the people would ascend to power, common people like you and me."
"Revolution is the name of the change and the change is not meant for an individual rather it is for the collective benefit of the people. Hence all political forces wanting to bring a change in the country should get united and come in the field for eliminating corruption, treachery, and deceit."
Mr Hussain said, "The MQM workers should prepare themselves for the struggle to abolish the feudal system. The feudal lords should know that the time has come when their cruelties and oppression would end forever."
"Those who want the decadent feudal system to go should step forward and join hands in the struggle launched for this purpose."
Mr Hussain appealed to the people of Pakistan to make financial contribution to the MQM. "Everyone who wants to change the corrupt system should contribute according to his means."
Mr Hussain asked the office-bearers of the MQM to start the campaign for collecting donations. He appealed to the public to deposit their contributions at the MQM Head Office Nine Zero or the nearest local office of the MQM.
Mr Hussain directed the workers to collect the donations from the people without exercising any coercion. He also appealed to the workers and sympathizers of the overseas units of the MQM to donate for this noble cause.
