Telephones the son of Prof Ghafoor and offers condolences
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain telephoned Tariq Fouzi, son of the veteran politician and Naib Amir of the Jamaat-i-Islami Prof Ghafoor Ahmed and offered condolences on the death of his father. He said that the country has lost a great politician and a kind and noble personality. He was kind-hearted to everyone. This is the reason why all religious and political leaders are grieved at his pass away. He stood out among fellow politicians because of his honesty and integrity.
Talking about his personal meetings with late Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, he said that Prof Ghafoor always treated him kindly. “I can never forget his love and affection. I always respected him as my elder and today I feel as if someone from my own family has left this world.”
Mr Hussain told Mr Fouzi that every worker of the MQM shared the grief of the death of Prof Ghafoor. He prayed Allah to shower His blessings on the departed soul and give him an exalted place in heaven.
Mr Fouzi said, “We would not forget the sentiments that you have expressed on the death of my father. We are thankful to you for your sympathy and care.”
Mr Fouzi told Mr Hussain that Prof Ghafoor always spoke about him in good words. He thanked the entire leadership of the MQM for expressing sympathy in the hour of grief and sorrow.
