Famine-hit Tharpakar, Rabita Committee shows concerns over innocent killings

Famine-hit Tharpakar, Rabita Committee shows concerns over innocent killings
 Posted on: 10/29/2014
MQM Coordination Committee expressed its deep concerns over the deaths of women and children due to scarcity of water, food and health facilities in Tharparkar.
In a statement issued, the Committee said that despite daily killings of Thari people, including children and women, the PPP government did not yet take any measure to rescue them. It said that government’s apathetic approach towards dealing the prevailing situation in Thar was sheer negligence.
The Coordination Committee said people are hopeless and government seemed sterile, which reflected its sincerity with naïve Sindhis. It said if provincial ministers had little respect to humanity would have taken measures to tackle the issues of Tharis. It said PPP’s Sindh government is core responsible for the killings of women, children and others due to unavailability of fundamental rights.
The Committee demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take notice against criminal negligence over the killings of Thari people. It also demanded to take positive measure to resolve the issue and rescue the entire population of the famine hit areas
