Altaf Hussain slams IRC grenade attack

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain strongly condemned hand grenade attack on Islamic Research Centre (IRC), Imam Bargah near Aisha Manzil during a women’s congregation and expressed his deep sorrow and concerns over the injuries of women and children.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that the attack on women’s congregation was a cowardly act and should be condemned. He said that the terrorists wanted to evoke sectarian riots during Moharram-ul-Haram by targeting Imam Bargahs and attack on IRC was the part of that design.
Mr. Hussain appealed to the religious scholars especially Shia Ullema and people to maintain sectarian harmony and brotherhood among them. He said to show unity and support each other for not letting those conspiratorial elements to fulfill their malice designs and to disturb peace during the sacred month.
MQM Chief also expressed his sympathy to injured women and innocent children prayed for their early and complete recovery. He appealed to the concerned authorities to provide appropriate security to the mourners of Imam Hussain and his companions of Karbala. He also demanded immediate action against the culprits of IRC attack and treated them with severe response
