The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that he values the public sentiments emerging after the decision of the Supreme Court but he would appeal to the public to keep their protests completely peaceful. In a statement Mr Hussain said that it is the legal and constitutional right of the people to carry out peaceful protests but “I appeal to each and every worker and sympathizer of the MQM to restrain their emotions and not cause harm to any rickshaw, taxi or anything else.” He asked them to protect their them and their properties. He said that the public had defeated the conspiracies of state machineries against the MQM in the past and “I am hopeful that they would frustrate these conspiracies even today with their unity.” He asked the people to protest in a peaceful manner and refrain from vandalism and arson under all cost.
