MQM UK condemns Shah for “Mohajir” belligerence

The UK Organizing Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) strongly condemned the Khursheed Shah’s statement regarding the word “Mohajir” and termed it a clear prejudice and racialism against Urdu-speaking community.
The Committee said, “Mohajirs are neither his vassals nor his feudatories but they are, in fact, an educated and cognizant nation.” It said that people in past did dream to drown in the sea like Khursheed Shah, who dreamt to make Mohajir his slave.
The Committee said that he should have remembered the historical reality that they were the Mohajirs who sacrificed their lives and properties for this country. It said that PPP leadership should learn the lesson from the past and stop being hypocritically biased against Urdu-speaking community because it causing mere dichotomy between the permanent inhabitants of the province.
