LIVES OF SIX MQM WORKERS IN DANGER

Under the explicit instructions of the Nawaz Sharif Government, the notorious Police Officers, who are involved in the extra-judicial murders of MQM workers, have shifted six MQM workers from Central Jail Karachi to their personal torture cells. According to details, Anwar Ahmed, SHO Airport Police Station and Ejaz Shah, SHO Korangi Police Station have shifted Israr Ahmed (Member of Muttahida Organising Committee), Zubair Hussain, Jamal Uddin son of Faiz Ul Mobeen, Mohammad Saleem son of Mohammad Yameen, Ejaz Ahmed son of Abdul Hameed and Sultan son of Suleman; from the Central Prison Karachi to their personal torture cells.

The notorious Police Officers Anwar Ahmed and Ejaz Shah are currently subjecting these MQM workers to brutal torture. We fear that their lives are in grave danger and they might be extra-judicially executed as has been done in the past. In order to obtain a pre-written confessional statement the law enforcers most recently exercised the same tactic with Fasih Ahmed and Mubashir Ali, who were tortured to death in police custody.

This has been carried out on the explicit instructions of the Nawaz Sharif Government to torture the MQM workers and pressurise them to give confessional statements to use it as a tool in their campaign of 'Media Trial' against the MQM to malign its image nationally as well as internationally.
