RAIDS AND ARRESTS OF MQM WORKERS INCLUDING MOHAMMAD SHAKIR, ICHARGE OF MQM UNIT 142

Today at around 4 a.m., heavy contingent of CIA Police in private cars carried out a siege and search operation in North Karachi. During this operation they raided several houses of MQM workers and supporters in the area of North Karachi. According to first information, they have arrested several MQM worker and supporters including Qasim son of Salam and his brother Hasan, Jameel, Hasan, Qasim son of Ismaeel, Anwar Baba, Mohammad Peetal and Ibrahim. Furthermore, they arrested Mohammad Shakir, Incharge of MQM Unit 142, Sector North Karachi.
