SHOAIB BUKHARI, MEMBER OF THE MQM CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEE, DEPUTY PARLIAMENTARY LEADER OF THE MQM IN THE PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF SINDH AND FORMER PROVINCIAL MINISTER AND WAKIL AHMED JAMALI, MEMBER OF PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF SINDH AND OTHERS MOST VIOLENTLY BEATEN AND ARRESTED IN KARACHI
Karachi: November 21, 1998 --- Time 2.00 a.m.
The uniformed Police and others in plain clothes have arrested Mr Shoaib Bukhari and Mr Wakil Ahmed Jamali following the raid at the "90", the residence of Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of the MQM. The uniformed Police and others in plain clothes, most violently and brutally tortured Mr Shoaib Bukhari MPA and Mr Wakil Ahmed Jamali MPA. The police, while beating them banged their heads against the wall causing multiple fractures.
Mr Shoaib Bukhari, aged 60 is an elderly and frail person and is at risk of the custodial killing and likewise Mr Wakil Ahmed Jamali.
