FOUR (4) MUTTAHIDA QUAMI MOVEMENT (MQM) OFFICE BEARERS BRUTALLY MURDERED IN KARACHI TODAY, 5 OCTOBER 1998
The killing of MQM (Muttahida Quami Movement) leaders, workers, sympathisers and their relatives is continuing unabated in Karachi, port city of Pakistan.
Today, 5th October 1998, four MQM office bearers and workers have been brutally murdered by the armed terrorists under the protection and escort of the personnel of the Security Agencies at two different spots of Karachi.
1- The first incident took place at 11.00 a.m. in North Karachi (suburb of Karachi) where unknown terrorists accompanied and protected by the personnel of the Security Agencies targeted and shot Shahid Mumtaz Khan dead while he was sitting in his General Store.
Shahid Mumtaz Khan was 25 years old, son of Mumtaz Khan and a resident of N-151 Sector, 11 J, New Karachi. He leaves three children and a wife behind.
2- The second incident took place in the District South of Karachi known as "New Challi" where Syed Aamir Zaki, a member of the Organising Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MOC) and the former Joint Sector in-charge of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi while he was going in his car along with other members of the MQM. Armed terrorists accompanied by the personnel of the Security Agencies riding a motor cycle and a "Pajero Jeep" chased his car and opened fire indiscriminately killing Syed Aamir Zaki and Abdul Qadeer on the spot and critically wounding Mustafa Khan. Mustafa Khan was admitted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The following are the details of those murdered and injured.
DETAILS OF THE DEAD
Syed Aamir Zaki 33, son of Zakir Uddin, resident of A-203, Block-2, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
Mustafa Khan 28, son of Dilawar Khan, resident of 2/852, Liaquatabad, Karachi. He was an active worker of MQM Unit 165, Sector Liaquatabad.
Abdul Qadeer Khan 33, son of Abdul Rasheed Khan, resident of House No. T-P-11, H-17, Mahmoodabad, Karachi. He was an active worker of MQM Mahmoodabad Sector.
The fourth MQM worker Zainul Abedin 26, son of Mohammad Qasim, resident of Sector 12-L-B, Orangi Town, Karachi, belonged to Aligarh and Qasbah Colony Unit 22 was injured in this incident.
