MQM FEDERAL MINISTER DR. KHALID MAQBOOL SIDDIQUI RESIGNS IN PROTEST OVER NORTH NAZIMABAD MASSACRE

 

Karachi: August 14, 1998

The Central Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has announced to quit Federal Government in protest over the North Nazimabad Massacre and the continuous murders of its workers and supporters by the Intelligence Agencies and their sponsored terrorists.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Production, informed about this decision to resign from the Ministership over the phone while speaking to the Federal Minister for Petroleum Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the Chief Minister Sindh Liaquat Jatoi. He informed that he would tender his formal resignation to the Prime Minister on his return to the country.

Dr. Siddiqui was speaking from London on his way back to the country from USA where he had gone on an official visit.
