HORRIFIC INCIDENTS OF KIDNAPPING, TORTURE AND TARGETED MURDER OF MQM WORKERS AND SUPPORTERS

Karachi: August 5, 1998

A- Nadeem Ahmed, 25, son of Peer Bakhsh, resident of R-615, Sector 15-A, Buffer Zone, Karachi. He was a worker of MQM Unit 173, Sector North Nazimabad.

On 4 August 1998, at around 8.30 p.m., he was sitting in his shop in Block-L, North Nazimabad, when an armed terrorists entered and shot him dead from point blank range.

B- Zaheer Ahmed, 42, son of Allah Bakhsh, resident of Shoe Market, Lucky Square, Garden, Karachi. He was the incharge of Elders Wing of MQM Unit 36, Sector Burns Road.

On 3 August 1998, at around 7.30 p.m., the Haqiqi terrorists attacked his shop and shot him dead from point blank range. He was shot in the forehead.

C- Mohammad Akbar Khan, 30, son of Mohammad Sahib Khan, resident of R-46, Sector 16-A, Gulshan-e-Wasim, Buffer Zone, Karachi. He was a very active worker and former office bearer of MQM Unit 143-B, Sector New Karachi.

On 3 August 1998, at around 7.30 p.m., he was sitting outside a Estate Agency Office at C-I-23, with his friends when some armed Haqiqi terrorists arrived there and opened fire upon Akbar. He was severely injured and died on his way to the hospital.

D- On July 29, 1998, at around 10 p.m., Mohammad Shabbir, 30, son of Mohammad Ismaeel, was returning home after visiting his friends in Saeedabad area of Karachi. He was kidnapped by some unidentified terrorists and later his dead body bearing clearly visible torture marks was found near Saeedabad No. 5. The corpse was then shifted to Civil Hospital in Karachi. Mohammad Shabbir was a very active worker of MQM Unit 116, Sector Baldia Town of Karachi.

Since the commencement of Army Operation in June 1992, thousands of MQM workers and supporters have been murdered ruthlessly by the Intelligence Agencies and their sponsored terrorists, the Haqiqi.
