MQM MEMBER OF ELDERS WING MAULVI NOOR MOHAMMAD RUTHLESSLY MURDERED AND TWO OTHER WORKERS KIDNAPPED AND TORTURED BY THE HAQIQI TERRORISTS IN THE NO GO AREAS OF KORANGI AND MALIR, KARACHI

Karachi, February 10, 1998

Maluvi Noor Mohammad, aged 45 years, son of Mati Ur Rehman, resident of 1922 Ali Akbar Shah Goth, Gali No. 3, Korangi, Karachi, member of MQM Elders Wing Unit 76, Sector Korangi.
1-- On 8 February 1998, between 12 p.m. and 1 a.m., the Haqiqi Terrorists namely Shakoor, Abdul Rehman, Mustafeez and others kidnapped Maulvi Noor Mohammad from outside his house. Later on 9 February 1998, at 6 a.m., his dead body, bearing marks of torture and bullet shots, was recovered from S-L, Mini Bus stop in Korangi. This is the second incident within four days where the Haqiqi terrorists have ruthlessly kidnapped and murdered elder member of the MQM. You will recall the incident of 5 February 1998, when one Mohammad Aslam was kidnapped from Korangi, Karachi, in the same manner and later murdered in cold blood.

2-- On 8 February 1998, at around 5 p.m., the Haqiqi terrorists namely Zulfi, Nomie, Babar and Amjad, kidnapped one Shahbaz, aged 12 years, son of Abdul Wahid, resident of House No. 320, Sector 51-B, Korangi No. 6, Karachi. These terrorists were waiting near a restaurant, where Shahbaz went to purchase some bread. He was immediately blindfolded and taken to a house in Unit 74, Sector C, where he was tortured severely. These terrorists inquired about the names and whereabouts of MQM workers and supporters.

3-- In another incident, on 6 February 1998, at around 7 a.m., Raees Ahmed, aged 26 years, son of Chaudhry Zaheer, resident of F-South, Jinnah Square, Malir Colony, Karachi, a worker of MQM Unit 97, Sector Malir, along with his brother Rizwan were coming towards his house, when they reached Mohammad Chawk, Jaffer Tayyar Society, the Haqiqi terrorists namely Fayyaz, Riaz, Bholu and others opened fire at them. Raees was severely injured and was shot in the spinal cord. After the incident he was immediately taken to the Jinnah Hospital where at present he is being kept in the Intensive Care Unit.
