Muttahida MPs condemn water, power shortage

KARACHI: The members Sindh Assembly of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement have strongly condemned the acute water shortage and unannounced load-shedding in different parts of the metropolis and demanded of the Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Muhammad Maher to take measures to solve these problems.

In a joint statement issued here Saturday, the Muttahida legislators said that the citizens of Karachi were facing immense problems owing to the shortage of water and continuos power failure, which caused resentment among them.

The MPAs observed that the city government had absolutely failed in providing basic facilities to the masses despite its tall claims. They appealed to the citizens to remain peaceful over the water and power crisis.

Muttahida MPAs demanded the Sindh CM to take notice of the ongoing water and power crisis and take positive steps on emergency basis in order to provide citizens basic needs.
