Deputy Convenor of MQM Sheikh Liaquat Hussain passed away

Deputy Convenor of Muttahida Quami Movement, worker of Pakistan movement and former member of National Assembly Sheikh Liaquat Hussain passed away on Wednesday night. He was 80 years old. Sheikh Liaquat Hussain was seriously ill for a long time. On Wednesday night his condition got more serious where he was taken to the hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar where he passed away before reaching to the hospital. Sheikh Liaquat Hussain has left two sons and grand children's.

Sheikh Liaquat Hussain joined MQM as a worker in 1994 after a meeting with MQM founder & leader Mr. Altaf Hussain in London, been as a worker than he became a member convenor of MQM Central Coordination Committee later he was announced as deputy. In 1997 he was elected as a member of National Assembly and then became parliamentary leader of MQM in Assembly. Sheikh Liaquat Hussain was also President of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, a charitable wing of MQM.

Founder & Leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain express his deeply grief and sorrow on the tragic and sad demise of Sheikh Liaquat Hussain. He pay heart felt condolence to the family members of Sheikh Liaquat Hussain and said that the death of Sheikh Liaquat Hussain is a great loss for our party and his services will be remember forever. He pray to Almighty Allah to give his soul rest in peace. Central Coordination Committee and all wings of MQM has also express grief and sorrow over the tragic and sad demise of Sheikh Liaquat Hussain.
