HYDERABAD: The motto of Muttahida Qaumi Movement is to serve the people of Sindh and the party does not aim at collecting funds and getting ministries.

Chief of the Muttahida Altaf Hussain stated this in his telephonic address from Secretariat of the party in London on the occasion of an ‘Imdadi Programme’ arranged on Friday by Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF).

A number of Muttahida leaders, including MNA Shamim Akhtar, Sindh Minister for Sports Naeem Ishtiaq, Minister for Tourism Shabbir Qaimi, Information Advisor Salahuddin Haider, Aslam Pervaiz and Zafar Rajput, attended the programme.

The KKF chief Sheikh Liaquat Hussain, MPA Arshad Shah and former MPA Afzal Shah also addressed at the programme, which was attended by thousands of people from Hyderabad, Latifabad, Qasimabad and interior Sindh.

Altaf Hussain said Muttahida was struggling for the rights of the people of Sindh for the last 56 years. He said if the political parties believed in serving the people and resolve their problems, they must announce (like Altaf) that they would not take part in the next election for national and provincial assemblies.

He said the Muttahida, since its formation, is committed to serve the people practically and for that end it formed a non-political group - Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, mainly to serve the people.
