KARACHI: 17TH OCTOBER, 2010:

The Co-ordination Committee of MQM has strongly condemned the unrestrained violence in Karachi by the terrorists of ANP and Peoples Amn Committee installed by the government of Pakistan Peoples Party resulting in the deaths of several innocent workers and supporters of the MQM. In a statement the Co-ordination Committee has said that soon after announcing the boycott of by-election and a call for black day, the terrorists of ANP and Peoples Aman Committee formed under direction of the government, took to street, and a horrendous game of death and bloodshed started. Terrorists went on a shooting spree in the city in order to sabotage by-election.

These terrorists fired indiscriminately on buses, taxis, and pedestrians and set a number of vehicles on fires. The Co-ordination Committee said that a number people fell victim to the shooting spree by the government-formed Peoples Amn Committee and ANP terrorists and dozens have lost their lives and hundreds of people received severe injuries.

The Co-ordination Committee said that while common people were being killed in the city brazenly, the government instead of providing protection to the people is abetting the criminals as a silent spectator. “The Co-ordination Committee said that ANP had warned about boycott and lifting arms two days ago and the way innocent people have been soaked in blood in the city is a manifestation of the sordid fact that ANP and Peoples Amn Committee were directly involved in it.” The world should take notice of the fact that the same terrorists who have been playing with the life and property of people in the past as well.
