Raise in the electricity tariff should be withdrawn immediately… Altaf Hussain

Founder & Leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain demanded to the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani that notification for raise in the electricity tariff for domestic, commercial and industrial consumers should be withdrawn immediately and take steps on emergency basis for control the power crises in country.

In a statement on Thursday, Mr. Hussain said that electricity tariff for domestic, commercial and industrial consumers  has been increased by KESC to 70% and also in  Punjab, NWFP and Balochistan while electricity is not being providing to the people who are facing so many problems.

 Due to raise in the electricity tariff and constant load shedding, common people and business and traders have no choice but to protest on streets. Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the MQM with people in these issue.

He demanded to the President Asif Ali Zardari that intervene immediately for the electricity tariff and take steps on emergency basis for control the power crises in country.
