Relief goods worth million of rupees distributed in Azad Kashmir Another team
 of doctors left for Islamabad MQM to observe Sunday 16th October 2005 as
 YOM-E-DUA’A. MQM cancels all its Iftar parties

 

15th October 2005…The MQM relief teams today distributed relief goods worth million of rupees in Azad Kashmir cities of Bagh and Muzaffarabad, Manshera in NWFP and also in other remote areas. A 15-member doctors and paramedical staff team under the auspices of KKF reached Bagh in Azad Kashmir and attended to the injured and provided medical relief. Later they also distributed tents, blankets and beds. More than 3000 people have been provided medical aid at the MQM Camp in Dargah Saheli in Muzaffarbad. From the relief camp at Abbottabad at the Ayub Medical Complex, the Provincial Adviser Nauman Segal, and Joint Incharge Election Cell Rizwan Babar distributed relief goods donated from Faisalabad and Chinyot.

 

Another11-member MQM team of doctors left Karachi for Islamabad today to join the relief efforts. This team includes two lady doctors and nine male doctors which belong to the Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences. This team will visit Azad Kashmir and other affected areas of NWFP.

 

The MQM has announced to observe Sunday 16th October 2005 as “Yom-e-Dua’a” in remembrance of thousands of people who lost their lives in the recent national tragedy of earthquake in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. On Sunday at 2pm, congregations of prayers and dua’a will be held throughout Karachi and other cities of Sindh Province. The MQM Coordination Committee has appealed to the people and workers to participate in the Yom-e-Dua’a.

 

MQM has announced to cancel all its planned Iftar parties in respect of those who lost their lives in the recent earthquake in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir and the destruction caused. The entire leadership and its workers are busy in collecting donations and providing relief to the affected areas.
