ARMED TERRORISTS BRUTALLY MURDER HAQ PARAST NAIB NAZIM FAHEEM AND MQM SUPPORTER SAQIB BAIG IN KORANGI, KARACHI
ALTAF HUSSAIN STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE KILLINGS AND CONDOLES THE FAMILY MEMBERS

  London – 11 October 2004 Armed terrorists have ruthlessly murdered Faheem, Haq Parast Naib Nazim of Korangi Town UC 7, and an MQM supporter Saqib Baig in Korangi, Karachi and also injured Councillor Akhtar Ali Abbasi. According to details, at around 12.30pm, Faheem was visiting a warehouse in Korangi Sector Unit 71 and meeting with Councillor Akhtar Ali Abbasi and an MQM supporter Saqib when armed terrorists in a taxicab suddenly appeared and opened fire. They were seriously injured and immediately rushed to Jinnah Hospital. Naib UC Nazim Faheem and Saqib succumbed to injuries before reaching the hospital whereas Akhtar Ali Abbasi, who received bullet wounds in his legs, is reported to be out of danger. Faheem was elected as Naib Nazim in recent by-elections. He was 30-years-old and has left behind a widow and three children, i.e. a son and two daughters. Saqib Baig was unmarried and has left behind a mother, four brothers and two sisters.

MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the brutal killings of Faheem and Saqib Baig. In his statement he said that these brutal killings by armed terrorists is an effort to sabotage the peace of the city and is deplorable. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family members of Faheem Shaheed and Saqib Baig Shaheed and said that all the MQM workers are sharing their sorrow and praying to Almighty Allah to rest their souls in peace and grant solace to the family members.
