Muttahida sets up free medical camp at Korangi The News

Parliamentary leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement in the National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the health and education sectors required expansion and more investment to facilitate the poor. He was talking to newsmen at a medical camp set up by the Medical Aid Committee of the party at Korangi on Monday.The Muttahida leader said the large number of turnout at the medical camp indicated that the poor people did not have even the basic health facilities. He said his party believed in serving the poor, and the medical camp was part of party’s programme to facilitate the poor. Sattar said that there was a need to set up more such camps on regular basis and urged the volunteers and doctors to help out the people. According to the party, Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Special Projects Mumtaz Hameed inaugurated the camp, where 55 senior doctors provided treatment to more than 8,000 patients and distributed Rs1.8 million worth of medicines free of cost in cooperation with 70 paramedics
