ARMED ASSSAILANTS MURDER MQM WORKER NOOH AMEEN

 

Karachi – 13 October 2003

 

Two unknown armed assailants murdered Mr Nooh Ameen, a worker of MQM Unit 162 Liaquatabad Sector in Karachi today.  According to details, Mr Nooh Ameen was an employee of Nazimabad Garden Department and performed his duties at Sakhi Hassan in Karachi.  He was on duty when around 10 a.m., two armed terrorists parked their motorcycle, approached Mr Nooh Ameen on foot and shot him from point blank range.  Mr Nooh Ameen died on the spot. Later, his body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.  Mr Nooh Ameen was 40-years old and a senior worker of MQM Unit 162.  As soon the news of his murder reached MQM Head Office, Shoaib Bukhari Advocate, the provincial minister, visited the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

 

MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the tragic murder of Mr Nooh Ameen.  In his condolence message, Mr Hussain strongly condemned this incident, expressed his sympathies with the family members and appealed to observe restrain.  He prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the soul of Mr Nooh Ameen and grant his soul the highest ranks.

 

In another statement MQM Convenor Dr Imran Farooq while strongly condemning the brutal murder of Mr Nooh Ameen has termed this act as continuation of target killings to disturb the prevailing peace of the city.  He expressed his deepest sympathies and condolences to the family members of Mr Nooh Ameen.  Dr Imran Farooq also demanded of the President General Musharraf, Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Saradar Ali Mohammad Mehar to take notice of brutal murder of Mr Nooh Ameen, arrest the criminal elements who are bent upon disturbing the peace of the city.
