The registration of the displaced families is being done-President Asif Zardari

London – May 22, 2009
There was an exchange of ideas in a telephonic conversation yesterday between the founder of the Mutahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain and the President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, about the on-going war in the Malakand Division, the displaced families of Swat, Der, Bonir, and adjoining areas, the aid provided to these families, the meetings of the President with the foreign ministers, and the current political situation of the country. Mr. Altaf Hussain insisted upon the fact that the MQM is always going to work alongside the government and the army at every step to rid the country of terrorists, as it believes this is necessary for the country’s safety and strength. Mr Altaf Hussain always gave President Zardari an insight on the work MQM is doing for the displaced families. He also explained the public of the country is worried about the entrance of the Taliban and terrorists, in the name of the displaced families, thus there should be a complete record (by registration) of these people entering Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan, and they should be confined to these camps only. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari explained that the government is not going to bow down ever in front of the terrorists, and will definitely rid the country of these people, who are a danger to the country’s safety and unity. President Zardari not only said that he his making sure of the registration of the people fleeing from their cities, but also thanked the MQM for their unconditional support and help.
