IF CONSPIRACIES ARE HATCHED TO END THE PRESENT DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED
GOVERNMENT THEN EACH AND EVERY WORKER OF MUTTAHIDA QUAMI MOVEMENT,
MOTHERS, SISTERS, ELDERS AND YOUTH
WILL DEFEND THE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT – ALTAF HUSSAIN

London – 8th May 2007...MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has stated that if conspiracies are hatched to end the present democratically elected Government then each and every worker of Muttahida Quami Movement, mothers, sisters, elders and youth will stand firm and defend the democratic government. And on May 12, 2007, by the Will of Allah Almighty, by participating in large numbers in the Muttahida Rally they will prove that the people of Sindh and particularly Karachi firmly believe in democracy and the independence of judiciary and they reject conspirators and political jugglers. He was addressing a huge gathering of MQM workers on Tuesday at the MQM Head Office and 17 other zones of Sindh simultaneously. These gatherings were attended by thousands of workers of several linguistic background and, minority communities, elders, mothers and sisters. He said that during testing times his party workers have never been afraid or despondent and have bravely, courageously and successfully faced all the challenges. He said that the MQM has announced to hold a peaceful rally in Karachi on 12th May 2007 whereas all the opposition political and religious parties have challenged that on 12th May 2007 they will rule Sindh and Karachi. These parties have also said that they have been preparing for a long time and have claimed that they will prove on 12th May that the people of Sindh and Karachi are with them. Mr Hussain said that these political and religious parties have been repeatedly rejected by the people of Karachi in consecutive general elections and now under the slogan of independence of judiciary they plan to make Karachi as the battlefield for the political games. He said that by the Will of Allah Almighty the people of Sindh and Karachi including people from all walks of life will participate in the MQM Rally on 12th May and prove that the people of Sindh firmly believe in democracy and independence of judiciary and are united under the banner of MQM. The members of these political and religious parties are also claiming that they have a huge cache of arms, which they will use to harass the people of Karachi and Sindh. However, we would like to warn that the MQM is a peaceful party and its workers, mothers, sisters and elders are not afraid of bullets but through their peaceful struggle they will defeat the conspiracy of those involved in unconstitutional, undemocratic and violent acts. He said that the brave Sindhi Speaking Sindhis and Urdu Speaking Sindhis of Sindh and Karachi, Baloch, Pakhtoon, Seraiki, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Memon, Kathiawari, Kachchi and members of ethnic minority communities, elders, mothers, sisters and youth who are with the MQM are poor but not cowards or shameless. He said that by the Will of Allah Almighty on 12th May the whole world including the heaven and earth and media will witness that there will not be a single street in Karachi where the MQM and Altaf Hussain loving people will not appear in large numbers. Mr uHusHussain said that MQM believes in the independence of judiciary and strengthening of institutions but is against the political jugglers who are politicising the issue under the slogan of independence of judiciary. And if any conspiracy is hatched to end the present democratically elected government then each and every worker of the MQM, its elders, mothers, sisters and youth will stand firm and defend the democratic government. Mr Hussain passionately appealed to all the mothers, sisters, elders, particularly the lawyers who believe in the independence of judiciary and all the MQM workers to participate in large numbers in the MQM Rally of 12th May and once again prove that the Karachi and Sindh belongs to the Haq Parast people and does not belong to the conspiring elements. He also appealed to the people and workers to remain peaceful during the rally and observe patience and tolerance so as not to provide any chance for someone to disturb the law and order situation.
