Karachi – 5 May 2003Mr Altaf Hussain, MQM Founder & Leader, while speaking with the newly inducted ministers and advisers in the Sindh Cabinet, has stated that MQM’s motto is to serve the people and solve their problems. Addressing the ministers, advisers and special coordinators Mr Hussain said, “Despite being related to the MQM, you should now serve the people without any prejudice and use your skills to solve their problems”. He further advised them to perform their duties with utmost devotion with a view to bring stability in Sindh Province, and give special attention towards eliminating unemployment, promoting education and providing health provisions, serving the people without any prejudice, do away with nepotism, always promote merit and prove with their character and actions that MQM’s motto is the ideal motto, which is to serve the public and solve their problems. Encouraging the ministers, advisers and special coordinators Mr Hussain said that despite all the obstacles and difficulties with the help of firm resolve and commitment relief could be provided to the public. He elucidated that if a worker or office bearer of the Movement is selected for a Government Office then his or her ideology must not change and he or she should not become arrogant. At this occasion all the ministers, advisers and special coordinators spoke with Mr Altaf Hussain and assured him that they would live up to the confidence bestowed upon them and would make all efforts to serve the people.
