MQM’S WORLDWIDE PROTEST
MUTTAHIDA QUAMI MOVEMENT (MQM) BEGINS ITS WORLDWIDE PROTEST CAMPAIGN TO PROTEST AGAINST THE CONTINUED INJUSTICES, ATROCITIES AND THE DENIAL OF THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS BY THE SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS OF PAKISTAN INCLUDING THE PRESENT MILITARY GOVERNMENT
In the sixth phase of the MQM’s
Worldwide Protest Campaign, the MQM Overseas USA and Canada
organised a huge protest rally in front of the residence of Mr
Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations in New York.
The participants of the rally chanted slogans against the
atrocities committed upon the MQM leaders, workers and supporters
by the successive governments of Pakistan including the present
Military Government. Participants of the rally comprised of
a large number of American Pakistani Mohajirs, women, elders,
children the youth. A petition was submitted for the
attention of Mr Kofi Annan. Apart from the demonstration,
flyers detailing the atrocities upon the Mohajir Nation and the
MQM in particular were distributed. At the end a rally was
taken out which after passing through several streets of New York
ended at the Office of the MQM New York Unit.
