MOST BELOVED ELDER WORKER OF THE MQM WAJID TEHSIN COMMONLY KNOWN AS HAKIMJI PASSED AWAY.

The most beloved elder worker of the MQM Mr Wajid Tehsin commonly known as Hakimji passed away today after critical illness. He was admitted in the Civil Hospital in Karachi for several days where he was critically ill in the ICU.  Hakimji left behind a widow, four sons and four daughters.

Hakimji was associated with the MQM virtually since its inception and was extremely close to its founder and leader Mr Altaf Hussain. The death of Hakimji sent millions of Mohajirs, particularly the MQM leaders, office bearers, workers and supporters into a shock. Mr Altaf Hussain was extremely saddened over the death of Hakimji, who was extremely favourite and close to him. He personally telephoned and spoke to the widow, sons and daughters offering his condolences to them over the death of Hakimji resulting in a tremendous and irreparable loss to the family and the MQM. Mr Altaf prayed to God to rest the soul of Hakimji in peace and grant strength to his family to endure the great loss and the tragedy. Mr Altaf Hussain requested the Members of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM to plant a tree near the grave of Hakimji in his remembrance.

The funeral congregation was assembled at the “Nine Zero”, the Head Office of the MQM to offer the burial prayers. He was laid to rest at the Yassenabad Cemetry in Karachi.
